Willie Tuitama threw for 225 yards and two touchdowns on 16-of-27 passing, and was intercepted once for Arizona (5-2, 3-1 Pac-10), which was coming off a one-point loss to Stanford.
Mike Thomas and Rob Gronkowski each caught six passes, including a touchdown for the Wildcats.
Nate Longshore completed just 18-of-37 throws for the Golden Bears (4-2, 2-1), who were coming off a bye week and had won two in a row. Longshore had two TDs throwing and one interception.
Jahvid Best ran for 107 yards and one score on 16 carries for Cal, while Cameron Morrah had three grabs for 60 yards and a score.
The Wildcats actually trailed by 10 points at the intermission, but held Cal to three second-half points as they put up 28.
Tuitama opened the scoring with a 56-yard scoring strike to Thomas less than two minutes in.
After a Giorgio Tavecchio 40-yard field goal for Cal, Antolin capped a 77-yard drive with a one-yard end zone plunge with 6:33 left. On the ensuing Bears drive, Devin Ross intercepted Longshore and returned it 21 yards to paydirt.
A 35-yard TD pass from Tuitama to Gronkowski put Arizona ahead 42-27 with 1:29 left in the third quarter, and neither team scored in the final frame.
Cal led 7-0 after one quarter, but got behind quickly on two scores by Arizona. Antolin ripped off a 20-yard touchdown run to cap a nine-play, 67- yard drive that spanned the opening two quarters.
Less than two minutes after that TD, Antolin dashed 11 yards into the end zone to put the Wildcats ahead 14-7.
Cal, however, closed out the half with 17 consecutive points. Best's 67-yard run with 7:51 left in the first half tied the game, and Longshore found Morrah from 18 yards out with 3:34 remaining.
The Golden Bears found time for one more score, a 42-yard field goal from Tavecchio that put Cal ahead 24-14 at the half.
Game Notes
Cal outgained Arizona, 425-404...The Wildcats fumbled twice, losing one, while the Golden Bears didn't lose their only fumble...Kevin Riley also saw time at quarterback for Cal, going 7-for-19 for 97 yards with one interception...The Cal defense notched four sacks.
