Matt Barkley was picked off twice but threw for 202 yards and two touchdowns on 15-of-25 throws while adding a rushing score for the Trojans (6-1, 3-1 Pac-10), whose lone loss last season came at the hands of the Beavers.
Ronald Johnson hauled in six passes for 99 yards and a score, Joe McKnight quietly ran for 65 yards on 11 carries, and Damian Williams returned a punt 62 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter, proving the difference in USC's fourth straight win.
Oregon State (4-3, 2-2), coming off a bye week following consecutive wins over Arizona State and Stanford, held its own offensively against the conference power but failed to come up with the big play on defense.
Sean Canfield finished with three touchdowns and 329 yards on 30-of-43 throws, while Jacquizz Rodgers rushed for 113 yards on 20 carries and scored on the ground and through the air in the loss.
Much like last week when the Trojans nearly blew a 20-point, fourth-quarter lead against Notre Dame, USC was up 41-23 early in the fourth before nearly faltering down the stretch.
Jordan Poyer's 70-yard kickoff return set up James Rodgers' seven-yard TD catch near the 12-minute mark to make things interesting, though the two-point conversion failed.
After a Barkley interception in OSU territory, Jacquizz Rodgers' one-yard run capped a 10-play, 74-yard march with 5:41 left, making it a six-point game.
Unlike the win in South Bend, however, it was the USC offense that finished the game. Bradford got just enough for a first down on 3rd-and-1, and Williams brought in an eight-yard pass on 3rd-and-2 with two minutes left.
Bradford's 10-yard run a little later sealed the game's outcome, and the Trojans had their revenge from last year's letdown.
Anthony McCoy's eight-yard touchdown run five minutes into the game came after OSU fumbled deep in its own territory.
A promising Beavers drive was stalled by an offensive pass interference penalty, though Justin Kahut was able to make it 7-3 with a 48-yard kick.
With two minutes left in the opening quarter, another Kahut 48-yarder came as a result of a Barkley interception.
Barkley atoned for the mistake early in the second quarter thanks to Johnson's diving 22-yard reception in the end zone, making it 14-6.
Kahut missed a 22-yarder later in the frame, and Barkley capped an eight-play, 80-yard drive with a one-yard plunge into the end zone.
It was 21-9 at halftime after Kahut was true from 33 yards out.
Rodgers closed the gap with a six-yard TD reception in the third, but Bradford quickly countered by running in from two yards out at the 6:34 mark.
Damola Adeniji hauled in a 15-yard TD reception just 3:16 later, only again to be answered by Bradford, who ran right up the middle for a 43-yard scamper.
Canfield was sacked on the first play of the fourth quarter, forcing a punt that Williams returned 63 yards to paydirt.
Game Notes
USC holds a huge advantage in the all-time series (59-10-4), but Oregon State had won two of the previous three matchups, including a stunning 27-21 upset of top-ranked USC a year ago in Corvallis...USC came into the game giving up just 11.7 points per game...Williams also caught six balls for 58 yards...Joe Halahuni recorded a game-high nine catches for 127 yards in defeat...Adeniji finished with 81 yards on five catches.
