Moore completed 16-of-22 passes and was not intercepted, as the Broncos (5-0) won their 19th straight game. After top-ranked Alabama fell to South Carolina earlier in the day, the Crimson Tide's 19-game streak came to a halt.
Titus Young was the recipient of six passes for 97 yards and a touchdown, while Jeremy Avery ran for 42 yards and three scores in the dominant victory.
Austin Dantin recorded 167 passing yards with two interceptions on 13-of-18 efficiency for Toledo (3-3), which has lost two straight following a three- game win streak. Terrance Owens relieved Dantin and threw for 55 yards and a score on 8-of-11 passes.
Eric Page was the Rockets' most productive offensive player, making 11 catches for 120 yards.
The Broncos came out firing right away, going 73 yards on only five plays on the game's opening drive. Using a 28-yard pass completion from Moore to Austin Pettis and a 29-yard rush from Doug Martin, Boise State jumped on top early on Avery's four-yard run into the end zone.
Pettis added a two-point conversion rush for an 8-0 lead.
"I think guys are just anxious to get a good start to the game," Moore said. "We really emphasize having fast starts and finishing strong. They are two key points that we really emphasize."
Toledo lost 11 yards on its initial possession, and Boise State increased its lead on Moore's two-yard touchdown pass to Kyle Efaw midway through the opening quarter. The series lasted seven plays and needed to go only 42 yards.
The Rockets, though, shrugged off their early rust and got on the board. A solid kickoff return started their series at the Toledo 42, and a 29-yard pass play from Dantin to Page gained the Boise State four-yard line. Dantin ran into the end zone on the next play for a 15-7 contest.
Toledo looked to gain some momentum by forcing a Boise State three-and-out, but Owens fumbled the ball away near midfield to give the Broncos good field position. Three plays later, on the second play of the second quarter, Avery's 12-yard touchdown run gave the hosts a 22-7 lead.
The Broncos began to pull away, building a 29-point halftime lead on Young's 51-yard touchdown grab and Avery's five-yard touchdown run to make it 36-7. It didn't get much better for Toledo in the third quarter, as Shea McClellin picked off a Dantin pass and returned it 36 yards for a touchdown on the opening series of the second half.
On Boise State's first second-half possession, Moore capped a 71-yard drive with a 33-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Shoemaker, giving the high-scoring Broncos 50 points or more for the third time in five games this season.
Matt Kaiserman added a one-yard touchdown run for the Broncos to push the margin to 50 before Owens tossed a seven-yard scoring pass to Danny Noble in the fourth to account for Toledo's second touchdown.
"Watching them on film, I knew they were a physical football team. But they are a real physical football team," Toledo coach Tim Beckman said. "They play this game for 60 minutes, the way it's supposed to be played, and (Boise State coach Chris Petersen) does a great job with that."
Game Notes
Boise State pushed its regular season home win streak to 58, not having lost on the blue turf prior to the postseason since September 8, 2001...Toledo faced a top-5 team for the first time since losing to then-No. 1 Ohio State in 1998...Moore is 31-1 as a starter...Boise State outgained Toledo, 500-287.
