Hill, a redshirt freshman, rushed 25 times for 164 yards to surpass 1,000 yards for the season and Stocco completed 12-of-19 passes for 193 yards.
The Badgers (6-1, 3-1 Big Ten) have won three straight in dominating fashion since a loss to Michigan, outscoring their last three opponents 141-38. Wisconsin scored two touchdowns in each of the first three quarters, while its defense controlled the Minnesota offense.
Minnesota quarterback Bryan Cupito completed 13-of-28 passes for just 94 yards with one interception. Amir Pinnix ran for 97 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries for the Golden Gophers (2-5, 0-4), who have lost four in a row.
Wisconsin got the scoring started in the first quarter when defensive back Jack Ikegwuonu returned a Minnesota fumble 50 yards for a touchdown. Hill added the first of his two scores with a five-yard run with 5:24 remaining.
Minnesota got on the board with a 37-yard field goal by Jason Giannini late in the first quarter.
Stocco threw for both scores in the second quarter, eight yards to Luke Swan and a two-yard pass to Andy Crooks, as the Badgers took a 28-3 halftime lead.
Wisconsin used just two plays and 59 seconds to score its first touchdown of the third quarter. Stocco connected with tight end Travis Beckum on a 40-yard touchdown strike. The score was set up when Beckum hauled in a 41-yard pass from Stocco.
Hill recorded his second score on a two-yard touchdown run with 10:11 left in the third quarter. However, the extra point try was botched and Minnesota's Mario Reese returned the attempt for two points. The quarter closed with Wisconsin leading 41-5.
The Gophers finally found the end zone 11 seconds into the final quarter when Pinnix scored from two yards out.
The scoring closed with a four-yard touchdown toss from Stocco to Beckum.
Game Notes
Wisconsin has won the last three games in the most-played rivalry in I-A football. The Badgers now hold a 60-48-8 advantage over Minnesota...Beckum caught five passes for 118 yards...Wisconsin sacked Cupito three times and Stocco was sacked twice by Minnesota.
