LSU remained in the top spot, and picked up eight more first-place votes for a total of 49. The Tigers, who crushed Auburn by a 45-10 margin on Saturday, received 1,489 points from a nationwide media panel.
They have a bye this upcoming weekend before traveling to Tuscaloosa to face No. 2 Alabama on November 5. The Crimson Tide received 10 first-place votes, one fewer than last week, but remained in the second spot to set up a 1-2 matchup between 8-0 teams.
Oklahoma and Wisconsin were ranked third and fourth, respectively, prior to this past weekend. But the Sooners lost to Texas Tech at home and the Badgers fell at Michigan State on a final-play Hail Mary, and both dropped eight positions in the poll.
That allowed Oklahoma State, which earned a 45-24 win at Missouri, to slide up three places to third. Stanford moved up three places to fourth after a 65-21 victory against Washington.
Boise State remained fifth in the poll and received the final first-place vote. Clemson, Oregon, Arkansas, Michigan State and Kansas State round out the top 10.
After Oklahoma and Wisconsin, the second 10 also consists of Nebraska, South Carolina, Virginia Tech, Texas A&M, Michigan, Houston, Texas Tech and USC.
Texas Tech and USC are both new to the poll this week, as is No. 21 Penn State.
Georgia, Arizona State, Cincinnati and West Virginia round out the top 25. Cincinnati moved into the poll, while West Virginia fell 14 places after a loss at Syracuse.
