Oregon stars Thomas, James return

Eugene, OR (Sports Network) - Oregon quarterback Darron Thomas and running back LaMichael James, who had been dealing with injuries in recent weeks, returned to the field for Saturday's 43-28 victory against Washington State.

Neither played last Saturday against Colorado, but the stars were in uniform and started as the No. 7 Ducks took on the Cougars.

Thomas suffered a knee injury two weeks ago against Arizona State and played the first half, completing 8-of-13 passes for 153 yards and a touchdown, with two interceptions. However, he was replaced by Bryan Bennett for the second half.

James, who has been battling an elbow injury, played for the first time since October 6 against California. He was limited to 53 yards on 13 carries.
