Hart appeared to hurt his right ankle in the first half and sat out the final 30 minutes with Michigan already holding a 31-7 lead at the break.
"I really don't know much," Michigan coach Lloyd Carr said of the injury. "We'll know a lot more Monday or Tuesday. It is the type of injury where dependent on how much swelling and how he feels in these next couple of days will really be the determining factor on what it looks like in terms of him coming back to play. He's a tough guy, a quick healer and we'll just have to see."
Hart rushed for 102 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries. Hart eclipsed the 1,000-rushing-yard milestone for the season and also moved into a tie for third place on Michigan's career rushing touchdown list, matching Chris Perry (2000-03) with 39 runs to the end zone.
There were a couple of other accolades for Hart on Saturday. He also moved into fifth place on the Big Ten's all-time rushing yards list (4,757), passing Wisconsin's Anthony Davis (4,676, 2001-04). Hart needs just 130 more yards to surpass Michigan State's Lorenzo White (4,887, 1984-87) and move into fourth place. Hart also passed Jamie Morris for the most consecutive 100-yard rushing games in school history with his seventh such effort.
The Wolverines play at Illinois next Saturday night.
