John Parker Wilson completed 32-of-46 passes for a career-high 363 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions for the Crimson Tide (6-2, 4-1 SEC), who have won three straight.
"It's a blessing, man," Hall said, of breaking the record. "I don't even know how many more records are out there, but I guess I'm going to try to get them all. I'm going to try to get them all and then maybe somebody can come through and break mine. A lot of guys don't have the opportunity that I've had to be in this position.
"Even with the change of coaches, people thought we might not be as explosive, but we're proving them wrong. We can be explosive when we execute the way we're supposed to," Hall added.
The versatile Terry Grant ran 26 times for 104 yards with a touchdown and also hauled in six passes for 31 yards and a score for Alabama, which racked up 510 yards of total offense.
Arian Foster had 91 yards rushing with a touchdown and also caught four passes for 74 yards for the Volunteers (4-3, 2-2), who had a three-game win streak snapped.
Erik Ainge threw for 243 yards with a touchdown and interception on 22-of-35 passing in defeat.
"We've been sporadic," Vols head coach Phillip Fulmer said, of his defense. "We've been better the last two weeks, but today we weren't where we needed to be. I can't put my finger on it right now, we'll go back and study the heck out of the tape and see what we've got to do to get to where we need to get to."
The Crimson Tide opened the contest with some trickery as they recovered an onside kick on the opening kickoff. The bold play call paid off as Alabama marched to the Tennessee 22 and took the early lead on Leigh Tiffin's 39-yard field goal.
After stopping the Vols on their first offensive possession, Alabama traveled 84 yards on nine plays and went up 10-0 on Grant's three-yard touchdown catch with just under seven minutes to play in the first quarter.
The Volunteers responded by scoring two straight touchdowns to take the lead.
With 4:43 left in the first quarter, Tennessee got on the board as Foster bounced into the end zone from two yards out. Foster carried the ball five times on the scoring drive for 39 yards.
On the first play of the second quarter, Luke Stocker caught a three-yard touchdown toss from Ainge to give the Vols a 14-10 lead. The score was set up by a 53-yard catch-and-run by Foster down the left sideline.
Alabama responded and regained the lead as Hall caught a 16-yard touchdown pass over the middle on a slant pattern to make it 17-14 with 11:16 to play in the second stanza.
Late in the second quarter, the Crimson Tide went on a 16-play, 75-yard drive that ended with Hall catching a two-yard touchdown pass near the left side of the end zone for a 10-point lead with just 12 seconds left until halftime.
With not much time, the Vols still managed to score three points as a 12-yard pass to Chris Brown combined with a 15-yard personal foul penalty set up a 45- yard field goal by Daniel Lincoln to make it 24-17 at the half.
Alabama managed to make it a 10-point contest with just under seven minutes to play in the third quarter after Tiffin split the uprights with a 20-yard field goal.
Tiffin continued to supply offense for the Tide as his 42-yarder with 2:12 to play in the third extended the lead to 30-17. The key play on the drive was a 31-yard leaping reception by Hall that put Alabama inside Tennessee territory.
With less than 11 minutes to play in the fourth, Grant scampered into the end zone from eight yards out to push the Crimson Tide's advantage to 21 points after converting a two-point conversion.
Tiffin's 44-yarder with 4:55 left in the contest capped the scoring.
