Kelso Sturgeon has been a professional handicapper for 40 years and has a deep understanding of all facets of the game, be it football, basketball, baseball or horse racing. He's worked as a football scout in the SEC and studied under Hall of Fame coaches like Alabama's Bear Bryant, winner of five national titles and Hank Stram of the Kansas City Chiefs, who won the 1970 Super Bowl. He's been a Regional Sports Editor for the Associated Press, worked as a successful jockey agent and authored several books teaching people how to be a handicapper, including the bestseller, THE COMPLETE GUIDE TO SPORTS BETTING. Kelso also understands that to be a successful handicapper means knowing the business of gambling, and to that end he is personal friends with most of the big linesmakers in Las Vegas and gets the daily scoop on what is happening on the other side of the counter. There is no one better qualifed to be your personal handicapper than Kelso Sturgeon.

Casey Brockman, Murray State, Sophomore, 6-2, 205, QB, Murray, KY
Brockman threw for 570 yards and seven touchdowns in a 72-59 win over Missouri State. The 570 passing yards set both Murray State and Ohio Valley Conference records and were the most by a NCAA player at any level this season. The seven touchdown passes set the Murray State record, tied the OVC record and tied for the most touchdown passes this season at any NCAA level. Brockman, who also ran for a touchdown in the game, passed for 238 yards and five touchdowns in the second half. The Racers overcame a 52-38 deficit with 2:22 to play in the third quarter.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Ricardo Silva, Hampton, Senior, 6-3, 225, Safety, Baltimore, MD
Silva did a little bit of everything in Hampton's 27-13 victory over North Carolina Central. With two minutes remaining and Hampton leading by only a touchdown, Silva stepped in front of a Jordan Reid pass and returned it 68 yards for a touchdown, locking up the victory in the process. Silva also tied for the team lead with 15 tackles (four solo) and forced a fumble in the game.
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
David Lopez, Wagner, Sophomore, 6-0, 180, K, Plantation, FL
Lopez nailed a 54-yard field goal with six seconds remaining to send Wagner into overtime at Georgetown on Saturday. With the game-tying kick, Lopez became only the second kicker in Northeast Conference history to connect on a field goal of at least 54 yards. In overtime, Lopez hit a 24-yarder in the eventual 22-16 Wagner win. Lopez had 10 points in the contest, connecting on all three of his field goal attempts and also making his lone extra point attempt.
