Kelso Sturgeon has been a professional handicapper for 40 years and has a deep understanding of all facets of the game, be it football, basketball, baseball or horse racing. He's worked as a football scout in the SEC and studied under Hall of Fame coaches like Alabama's Bear Bryant, winner of five national titles and Hank Stram of the Kansas City Chiefs, who won the 1970 Super Bowl. He's been a Regional Sports Editor for the Associated Press, worked as a successful jockey agent and authored several books teaching people how to be a handicapper, including the bestseller, THE COMPLETE GUIDE TO SPORTS BETTING. Kelso also understands that to be a successful handicapper means knowing the business of gambling, and to that end he is personal friends with most of the big linesmakers in Las Vegas and gets the daily scoop on what is happening on the other side of the counter. There is no one better qualifed to be your personal handicapper than Kelso Sturgeon.

Of those passing yards, three went for touchdowns. Decker also rushed for another score.
Another quarterback who was added to the watch list last week, Lehigh's Chris Lum also had a big day. Lum continued his streak of 300-yard games with a 386- yard performance in the Mountain Hawks 30-6 win against Bucknell.
Even more impressive was Lum's efficiency as he completed 30-of-37 attempts.
Indeed, both belong on the Payton list.
TOWSON, MAINE IMPRESS
When you think of the CAA's elite teams, names like James Madison, Richmond, William & Mary and Delaware come to mind.
However, you might have to add Maine and Towson to that list.
In defeating James Madison, 25-24, in overtime on a two-point conversion by Christian Treister, the Black Bears sent a message they're a legitimate contender in the FCS' toughest conference.
This season, Maine has upset both Delaware and James Madison, and are tied with New Hampshire and Towson for the lead in the conference. Expect the Black Bears, who almost upset Pittsburgh in Week 2, to jump up quite a bit in the national poll this week.
For Towson - a team that had won three games in the past two years - this season has been a revival under coach Rob Ambrose, most recently defeating Richmond, 31-28, on Saturday.
The Tigers' only loss has come to Atlantic Coast Conference member Maryland, and in that game the Tigers outgained the Terrapins in total yards.
RECORD-HOLDER
Jacksonville quarterback Josh McGregor became the Pioneer Football League's all-time leading passer on Saturday, throwing for 299 yards in a 34-26 win against Dayton.
McGregor's 9,704 yards surpass that of former San Diego quarterback Josh Johnson, who had 9,669 from 2004 to 2007.
The win also gave the Dolphins (4-2, 3-0) a big lift in the league championship race after they shared the title with Dayton last season. Drake and San Diego, who meet next weekend, also are 3-0 in the conference.
ALL OR NOTHING
Chattanooga went for it all and ended up empty handed in a 28-27 loss to top- ranked Georgia Southern. Scoring a touchdown with 1:44 remaining, the Mocs elected to go for the two-point conversion and the lead.
However, the pass fell incomplete and Chattanooga suffered its second loss by two-points or less to a Top 5 team.
DONE ALREADY
With a 24-19 loss to South Dakota, preseason favorite Southern Utah likely will not repeat as Great West Conference champion.
With just five teams in the conference, it appears the only way Southern Utah will win the final Great West title is if they can share the title with all the other teams at 2-2.
STAT OF THE WEEK
Making his first career start, Stony Brook junior Kyle Essington impressed, contributing four total touchdowns.
He passed for three touchdowns and added another on the ground in leading the Seawolves to a 42-24 win against Presbyterian in the Big South Conference.
TEAM OF THE WEEK
Maine: The Black Bears sent a message that they're a legitimate CAA contender by defeating James Madison in overtime.
Currently ranked No. 19 in the FCS, Maine could compete for a conference title and also make some noise in the FCS playoffs, if they continue on its three- game winning streak.
