Super Bowl Champion Broncos Going Nowhere Without Quarterback
Broncos Won Super Bowl Last Season But Going Nowhere Without A Quarterback Half As Good As Was Manning
By Kelso SturgeonThe third and most serious week of the National Football preseason begins Thursday night and it is my observation there are at least a dozen teams still looking to find their way—none more so than the defending Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos who appear to have no legitimate starting quarterback on the roster. Unless that situation changes, Denver is going nowhere in 2016-17.Denver coach Gary Kubiak says he will start Trevor Siemian, a second-year player out of Northwestern, against the Los Angeles Rams Saturday while giving equal time to veteran Mark Sanchez and this season’s number one draft choice Paxton Lynch (Memphis). Kubiak says he is undecided which one will be the starters when the Broncos host the Carolina Panthers in a Super Bowl rematch to begin the season.
NFL PRESEASON WEEK 3 QUICK-HITTERS
Let's get right to a busy six-pack of NFL Preseason Week 3 games here set for this final Saturday in August:On Saturday, it's ...KANSAS CITY (0-2) at CHICAGO (0-2) - 1 p.m. ET, NFL Network
Are the Bears gonna get any production here from first-round draftee OLB Leonard Floyd who is battling hamstring woes that have limited his practice time? No pass rush and the Bears are staring at another lost season, folks.
Current Line: Chiefs (- 1.5) and 41 pointsPHILADELPHIA (2-0) at INDIANAPOLIS (1-1) - 7 p.m. ET
No question the Colts' secondary is getting scrutinized on a daily basis and we're wondering whether old hound CB Antonio Cromartie - signed just last week - is the answer. No DB Vontae Davis (ankle) till further notice.
Current Line: Colts (- 3) and 44 points

Senior quarterback Davis Webb passed for four touchdowns and rushed for one in his California debut and junior receiver Chad Hansen had the best game of his career as the Golden Bears rolled to a 51-31 nonconference victory over Hawaii in college football's season opener at Sydney, Australia, on Saturday afternoon.
