Red Hot Best Bets 12-1-1 Last Five Days…12-0-1 With Underdogs

College Underdogs Front And Center As Need To Win To Improve Postseason Chances Is Driving Them To Take It To Favorites…3 More Underdogs Win Tonight

A subtle reminder: I do not like to brag about my handicapping success but think it is necessary to note my Best Bets Basketball Club is 12-1-1 the past five days and that all 12 winners were underdogs. The loser, a favorite, lost in overtime. It also is important to know two of the winners got the money against #1 Tennessee and #5 Kentucky.

The power of the underdog surfaces every year at this time with most of the 353 teams playing their best as they shoot for top seeds in the coming conference tournaments and in the NCAA Tournament that follows. Lesser teams, despite their records, still can gain redemption and increase their postseason hopes.

I took South Carolina (+15.5) at #1 Tennessee last night and got the cover in an 85-73 loss. Why the Gamecocks in this spot? This was a big-time sandwich game for Tennessee because it plays at Kentucky Saturday. That fact made this the perfect spot for the backdoor cover. Tennessee figured to put South Carolina away and then back off to avoid injuries. No team wants to limp into Lexington.

On Tuesday, there was a much different reason I released #19 LSU (+8.5) over Kentucky, a team which seldom loses at home. LSU won this one 73-71. So, why LSU in this one?

It was all about the lack-of-respect issue. Bookmakers didn’t believe the talented Tigers were anywhere close to being as good as their now 20-4 record. It obviously meant little to them LSU took the floor in Lexington off wins over two power teams—Auburn at home and at Mississippi State.

With most teams playing their best each night, games are closer as the incentive factor becomes an extremely important piece of the handicapping equation. Thus, it’s three more underdog winners tonight.

I intend to continue with underdogs tonight, releasing three more of them, all at 15 units, and you can win them with me for just $10, charged to your major credit card or to Pay Pal.

Better yet, get on board for the entire college and NBA seasons with a membership in my Best Bets Basketball Club for just $195 and save a fortune.
