It's just one man's opinion but the National Football League needs a reality check, both on and off the field, operating in a world of chaos and confusion. The situation won't soon end and may get far worse. Heading into Week Ten of the 16-game season the only things we know for sure is the Philadelphia Eagles (8-1) are by far the best team in the NFL. Alas, we will not be able to capitalize on that this week because they have a bye. On to the reality check.

The winless Cleveland Browns (0-8 this season and 1-15 the past two seasons) are a hopeless team run by a front office of football idiots - two of them baseball experts. Incompetence prevails and these guys can't even complete a trade that might be helpful because they failed to supply the paperwork. The front office was built to corner the market on ignorance and is succeeding with with enthusiasm. The Browns are 10.5-point underdogs at Detroit.

The Green Bay Packers (4-4 and fading fast) will go nowhere with Brett Hundley at quarterback and they know it. When Aaron Rodgers went down with a broken collarbone the Packers season was over. They are 6-point underdog at Chicago.

The Houston Texans (3-5 and fading fast) are going nowhere with Tom Savage at quarterback and they know it. When sensational rookie Deshaun Watson suffered a season-ending knee injury the Texans season was over. Houston is a 10.5-point 'dog at the Los Angeles Rams.

Colin Kaepernick, a very competent quarterback, is still hoping to sign up somewhere - anywhere - and help a team win. Talented but obviously an untouchable social outcast to NFL teams. Maybe, when it gets bad enough for teams with amateur quarterbacks, somebody will make a move. It's mind-boggling Houston hired QB Josh Johnson, who has not seen action in the NFL since two games with Cincinnati in 2013, as one of its backups.

Speaking  quarterbacks, the winless San Francisco 49ers (0-9 this season and 2-23 the past two) recently made headlines by acquiring from New England quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, a proven winner as a back-up for Tom Brady. That sounds great but coach Kyle Shanahan is sticking with rookie C.J. Beathard for the time being, afraid Garoppolo would get killed playing behind a terrible offensive line reduced in effectiveness by injuries. Maybe later. Meantime Beathard - sacked 17 times and hit 37 times in his three starts - remains the cannon fodder of the day. The 49ers are 3-point home underdogs to the 1-7 New York Giants.

And, off the field, the NFL front office and former office boy-turned commissioner Roger Goodell are fighting off challenges from Dallas Cowboy owner Jerry Jones who does not want Goodell's contract to be renewed and obviously wants him out. Goodell, the poster boy for incompetence, currently makes $40 million a year. Jones says, no dice, this time around.

Weekend NFL Betting Trends/Handicapping Hints

Minnesota Vikings (6-2) At Washington Redskins (4-4)
Redskins are 1-5 against Spread (ATS) in last six home games. The Vikings have won their last two and sit atop the NFC North two games up on Detroit and Green Bay, both 4-4. If you are a totals player it is worth noting Washington has gone "over" by a 22-7 margin in their last 29 games.

Green Bay Packers (4-4) at Chicago Bears (3-5)
Chicago is 4-0 ATS since rookie Mitch Trubisky (North Carolina) took over as starting quarterback while the Packers are 0-3 ATS since Brett Hundley took over the quarterback spot when Aaron Rodgers Broke his collarbone. Bears have seen six of their eight games go "under".

Pittsburgh Steelers (6-2) at Indianapolis Colts (3-6)
Pittsburgh has yet to put 30 points on the board this season but is still winning. The Steelers have won and covered in their las 3 games, have played to the "under" by a 7-1 margin this season (21-7 in their last 28) and are 8-5 in their last 13 as a road favorite.

Los Angeles Chargers (3-5) at Jacksonville Jaguars (5-3)
Jacksonville has won five games in a single season since it went 8-8 in 2010 and the Jaguars success has a lot to do with its defense, which is ranked 1st of 32 teams against the score (14.6 points per game) and pass defense, giving up 156.4 yards per game passing. Overall the Jags have the 9th-ranked total defense, surrendering 281.3 yards per game. Chargers quarterback is at the top of his game right now, having thrown for 11 touchdowns, with no interceptions, in his last three games. Of note, L.A. is 23-12-1 ATS in its last 36 road games, dating back to 2012.

New York Jets (4-5) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-6)
No Jameis Winton (shoulder injury). Starting in his place will be back-up Ryan Fitzpatrick who as a New York Jet in 2015 threw a club record 31 TD passes. New York has won eight straight and stands 10-1 lifetime against the Bucs. New York is 6-0-1 ATS in its last seven games; The Bucs are 0-6 ATS and stand 1-8-1 against the number since last season.

Cincinnati Bengals (3-5) at Tennessee Titans (5-3)
The Titans have won have won three straight and seven of their last eight games at home. They are 6-1-1 ATS in their last eight home games and stand 18-8-1 to the "over" in their last 27 games. Bengals are 8-16 ATS in their last 25 games and 1-6 in their last seven as a road 'dog.

New Orleans Saints (6-2) at Buffalo Bills (5-3)
New Orleans has won six straight (5-1 ATS) in their last six games and will be facing a Buffalo team that has not lost at home this season and stands 5-2-1 ATs this season. The Bills add wide-receiver Kelvin Benjamin (32 receptions for 475 yards and two touchdowns with Carolina this season) to their offensive roster Sunday.

Cleveland (0-8) at Detroit Lions (4-4)
Cleveland is struggling to get over the hump. The Browns are winless this season, 1-23 straight up (SU) and 6-18 ATS in their last 25 games. The Lions are winning their share but still have trouble running the football, averaging 78.9 yards on the ground.

Houston Texans (3-5) at Los Angeles Rams (6-2)
The Los Angeles Rams stand atop the NFC West - one game up on Seattle - and have outscored their last two opponents - Arizona and the New York Giants - 60-17. Tom Savage continues as the Texans starting quarterback, replacing rookie Deshaun Watson who suffered a season-ending knee injury. His backups are recently signed Matt McGloin, T.J. Yates and Josh Johnson. Johnson has not played in the NFL since he appeared in two games with Cincinnati in 2013. Rams are just 1-7-1 in their last nine home games.

Dallas Cowboys (6-3) at Atlanta Falcons (4-4)
Cowboys will be without superstar running back Ezekiel Elliott (suspension for this game and at least the next four) and that is a big break for the struggling Falcons who simply cannot stop the run, giving up 207.2 yards per game.

New York Giants (1-7) at San Francisco 49ers (0-9)
This is a battle between two teams working overtime to gain the #1 draft pick at the end of the season. So far so good. The 49ers are 2-23 in their last 25 games and stand 2-9 ATS in their last 11 home battles. The Giants only win this season came a month ago in Denver, 23-10.

New England Patriots (6-2) at Denver Broncos (3-5)
New England is 3-0 on the road this season and 11-0 in its last 11 away from Foxborough. A win in this one would tie Patriots coach Bill Belichick with former Dallas Cowboy coach Tom Landry as the third winningest coach in NFL history with 270 victories.

Miami Dolphins (4-4) at Carolina Panthers (6-3)
This one is on Monday night and features a Carolina defense that has given up an NFL best 274.1 yards per game and has 29 sacks (2nd of 32) this season. This alone should prove a bit troublesome for a Miami team that averages an NFL worst 14.5 points per game. As they say, do the match.

(These Selections Were Made A Few Days In Advance I Reserve The Right To Change Them if Any Later Situation Occurs - Home Team In CAPS)

BUFFALO BILLS (5-3) +3 by 7 over New Orleans Saints (6-2) - The surprising Saints go for their 7th straight win in this one but nothing has come easily for visiting teams in Buffalo this season. The Bills are 3-0 at home and seem primed to make it 4-0 as they exploit an awful Saints pass defense that gives up an average of 186.9 yards per game.

New York Giants (1-7) -3 by 9-10 over SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS (0-9) - This game gives the Giants an opportunity to win its second game - not because I is a good team but because the 49ers are worse. The 49ers have the longest injury list in the NFL, with 17 players on injured reserve and it must be noted five more did not finish last Sunday's game against against Arizona and at least four will miss this one.

TENNESSEE TITANS (5-3)-Cincinnati Bengals (3-5) UNDER 40.5 Points - The Cincinnati offense is a complete disaster (I do not know the reason why) and faces a Tennessee Titans team that loves to run the ball and control the pace of the game. I predict 35 or less points will be scored.

Win Another 50-Unit Blowout NFL Game Of Week
I Have Been On A Solid Run With 50-Unit NFL Winners Since Season Began, Stand 4-1 In My Last 5 And Am Confident I Will Again Get The Money

When a team is in the right spot at the right time and is being offered with a ridiculous betting line the opportunity is present to make a big score and I have made it a long-standing habit to do just that win. I am going for another one today with a team that has the edges, is underrated and that is ready to fire its best shot. The betting line makes this game a dead-even affair - my figures say otherwise - I am releasing this game as my 50-unit NFL Game of the Week, confident I will take down the money with a certain degree of ease. Get all the cash with me for just $50, charged to your major credit card or to Pay Pal. For the record the four 50-unit winners (see below) won by an average of 17.5 points.

It's Another Giant Stunning Three Dog Day In NFL
My Best Bets Football Club Went 3-0-1 In NFL Last Weekend And Is Going To Go 3-0 Today With Three 'Dogs That Should Win Straight Up

NFL betting lines tell their own story this week and it all translates into a big underdog day. First of all, favorites prevailed last week 7-2-3 and the bookmakers got burned by a public that heavily bets those favorites each week. That stung and just added to the woes of Vegas bookmakers who lost millions on the World Series. One bettor alone beat the books for more than $3 million. This week's NFL numbers say it is now the bookmakers turn to make a score. According to my figures more than half the betting lines are tilted to smack the favorites bettors right in the kisser. It is against this background my Best Bets Football Club is going for their cash with three underdogs that should win straight up. Each of the 'dogs I am releasing grades out as the outright winner and you can get the cash with me for just $15.

Best Bets NFL Record Since Last Sunday
11/6...15 Units...Lions (-2.5) 30, Packers 17 (Won)
11/5...15 Units...Redskins (+8) 17, Seahawks 14 (Won)
11/5...10 Units...Saints (-7) 30, Buccaneers 10 (Won)
11/5...10 Units...Raiders (-3) 27, Dolphins 24 (Push)

Side/Total Parlay Takes Down NFL Again Money Sunday
My Chairman's Club Has Been Extremely Successful This Season With It's 40-Unit Side/Total Parlays And the Numbers Say I Will Win Another One

I have hit two of my last three 40-unit NFL side/total parlays and I am coming right back today with another one, releasing a team that is simply in the right spot and is being offered to the public at very soft numbers - both side and total. It required a lot of work and digging to decide to go for the parlay and it all had a lot to do with changing performance profiles and injuries. Wade through all of this, determine the truth and win - and that is just what I have done. It will again be 25 units on the winning team, 10 units on the total and 5-units on the parlay and you can win this Chairman's play for just $20. Win a fortune today without betting one. The only thing that will surprise me would be not winning all three bets. Go for it with me.
