David Vs. Goliath In Patriots-Jaguars AFC Championship, But There Is The Big Question Of "THE HAND"
Pats Say Brady Injury Not Serious - Bookies Disagree

Eagles Were Team That Could Not Win But Did, And Hope To Continue In NFC Championship Game Against Vikings Who Have Best Defense In NFL

I Am Releasing Both Games As 50-Unit Side/Total Parlays

Another 50-Unit College Basketball Winner Saturday

By Kelso Sturgeon

The stage is set for Sunday's two National Football League championship games to determine the teams that will advance to Super Bowl 52 February 4 in Minneapolis. The weather is supposed to be decent for football in both Foxborough and Philadelphia - sunshine, with temperatures in the low 50s for the earlier game in Foxborough and in the high 30s for the second game - all four teams have practiced well for these showdowns and all four are confident they will win.

But, wait, there is an elephant in the room that could impact the New England-Jacksonville game. Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, the heart and soul of his team, suffered a hand injury in practice the week. The Pats say it's minor - although it has caused him to be limited in practice - but bookmakers say they know better and have dropped New England from being a 9-point favorite to -7.
Frankly I put my trust in bookmakers but admit the truth will not be known until the New England offense takes the field Sunday. We do know for sure Brady did not practice Thursday and was seen wearing a glove on his right hand - something he does not like to do.

If for any reason Brady cannot start, or is ineffective because of the hand injury, his backup is veteran Brian Hoyer who was acquired from the San Francisco 49ers in the Jimmy Garappolo trade. He has started for four different NFL teams and has seen action in five Patriots games this season, completing 4-of-6 passes for 42 yards and no touchdowns. By comparison Brady, who long ago punched his ticket to the NFL Hall of Fame has completed 385-of-581 passes this season for 4,577 yards and 32 touchdown.. It does not take a genius to figure out the loss of Brady would be.

New England-Jacksonville Game Capsule

This game is a true classic offense vs. defense. New England has the AFC’s top overall offense (396.7 yards per game)—ranked  2nd in passing (279.6 yards), 10th in rushing (117.1 yards). Jacksonville has the second best defense in the AFC (299.2 yards per game)—1st against the pass (184.1 yards) and 21st against the rush (115.2 yards).New England and Jacksonville have met 11 times since the Jaguars entered the league as an expansion team in 1995 and the Patriots are 10-1 straight up (SU) and 7-4 against the Spread (ATS) in those contests. Pats QB Tom Brady is 5-0 in games against the Jaguars. New England coach Bill Belichick has gone 26-9 in the playoffs since arriving in Foxboro. In home playoff games, New England stands 18-3 SU and 12-8-1 ATS. Jacksonville has an NFL best 22 takeaways on the road this season and has the best red zone scoring percentage in he NFL this season (67.9% over all, 43.8 with touchdowns. New England averages 29.0 points per game while giving up 18.2. Jacksonville averages 26.2 points per game while giving up 17.4.

Minnesota-Philadelphia Game Capsule

This contest could be a real defensive battle, and that is why the total is just 38.5. It is of note several sports books opened the total at 40 and were immediately hit with UNDER action from the wiseguys. Bookmakers admit the 40 )was a mistake. Minnesota has the NFC’s best defense (280.8 yards per game)—ranked second against the pass (238.9 points per game) and second against the rush (120.7). The Eagles defense is ranked 4th overall (305.5 yards per game), including 1st against the rush (79.6 yards). Minnesota is seeking its first trip to the Super Bowl in 41 years while the Eagles have not been to the big game in 13 years. It is of note Philadelphia is 3-0 against the Vikings in the playoffs and that Minnesota is 6-16 in road playoff games. Philadelphia will again go with backup QB Nick Foles who set a franchise record of completing 76.7 percent of his passes in the team’s win over Atlanta last week. Minnesota averages 24.2 points per game while giving up 16.2. Those numbers for the Eagles are 27.8 and 17.9.

Another 50-Unit College Basketball Winner Saturday

There are more than 100 college basketball games on the Saturday schedule and several of them offer bettors giant betting edges. In one of those games there is a team that has "blowout winner" written all over it and I am releasing it as a 50-unit play. My highrollers got the cash Thursday night with a 50-unit play on Colorado (-8) with its 82-73 win over Washington State in a game that was never as close as the final score. (Colorado was up 15 at the half and up 14 with less than a minute to go). Today's game does not figure to be close and should be over by halftime. The team I am releasing is a modest favorite with giant edges over its opponent, a team that my figures say is on the downside of its form. I am looking for a dominating win in this game and you can win it with me for just $35 charged to your major credit card or to Pay Pal.

This game is another Personal Best Basketball Club highroller winner and I suggest you consider joining this club for the entire season and save a ton of money. This club is designed for big bettors and highrollers who are looking for an average of four-five 50-unit and 100-unit plays each week. Members also get all Chairman's Basketball Club games. Just $599 for the season, $249 per month or $35 per day. The games will be released online and toll free at my office - 1-800-755-2255.

Saturday's College Best Bets
Editor's note: Home teams listed in CAPS. To bet these games, compare my projected margins of victory with the actual betting liens and then wager accordingly.

Villanova by 16-17 over CONNECTICUT - Villanova is at the top of its form while UConn is suffering from a lack of experience, especially against the good clubs.

Wichita State by 8-9 over HOUSTON - Wichita State is in major bounce back form off a rare home loss to SMU in a game the latter shot 64% from the field and 75% from 3-point range. The Shockers crushed Houston in their first meeting.

Texas Tech by 10-11 over IOWA STATE - Texas Tech, one of the most underrated teams in the country is also in major bounce-back form off a loss at Texas and should handle the Cyclones with a certain degree of ease. For the record, the Red Raiders are the most athletic team I have seen this season

CINCINNATI by 25-26 over East Carolina - Nationally-ranked Cincinnati is showing no mercy to inferior opponents and should simply run off and hide from a very slow and talented-limited East Carolina team.

OREGON by 10-11 over UCLA - Oregon is much better than it has shown this season and I look for the Ducks to show it against a team they love to beat.
