Memphis Should Win Tonight But Can Tigers Cover 28.5?
Memphis Is On A Short Week And Comes In To Tonight’s Nationally-Televised Game Against Georgia State Still Recovering From Draining 23-22 Loss At Navy
I split my football plays last night, winning an impressive 25-unit NFL play on the Cincinnati Bengals, 34-23, over the Baltimore Ravens while losing a side/total parlay on Wake Forest (+6.5) that fell to Boston College, 41-34. Tonight I am going for a 15-unit win on the nationally-televised (ESPN) Memphis (1-1)-Georgia (1-1).
Memphis was a 28.5-point favorite this morning but in its practices on this short work-week it was obvious the Tigers are still tired from last Saturday’s draining loss at Navy, 23-22, as a 7-point favorite in a game in which the Tigers blew a 13-point lead in the fourth quarter.
No question it is tough to recover from a loss like that. Still there is no question in my mind Memphis will win the game—but the cover is far from certain. The Tigers went 7-0 SU and 4-2 ATS at home last season.
